Kids Snow Boots Put to the Test!
Raising kids in a remote town in the Yukon wilderness certainly isn’t for everyone! One thing every parent here can agree on, is that a good pair of kids snow boots are essential for your little ones. Why? Because it gets COLD here… I mean REALLY cold, like frostbite in minutes cold!
Problem with Most Kids Snow Boots
Over the years we have tried many different brands of kids snow boots but found that they were always so heavy and chunky on their little feet. My 4yr old daughter Etta, loves to run, play, jump and climb in the snow just like any kid does so why would I want to weigh her down with heavy boots? She also had a hard time getting them on and off, especially with thicker socks and bulky snow gear.
Enter the Toasty-Dry Puffy Winter Boot from Jan & Jul, our favourite Canadian brand for outdoor gear!
These kids snow boots are a game changer when it comes to our harsh Canadian winters. They keep Etta’s feet toasty warm and dry (we play in temps down to -25 Celsius????). They are also light, not heavy or bulky, so she’s able to move about freely and slip them on and off with ease! The solid grip allows for great traction on icy surfaces too.
Our Go-To Winter Outfits
We’ve used the Puffy Winter Boots in many different weather conditions. On a chilly rainy day, I can pair Etta’s boots with her Jan & Jul Cozy-Dry one piece Play Suit or her Cozy-Dry Rain Jacket & matching Puddle-Dry Rain Pants. A cold windy day? I add a pair of knit mitts and a knit hat from Jan & Jul. On a snowy day, I would dress Etta in her Cozy-Dry Bib Pants, her warm Waterproof Mittens and her insulated Trapper Hat from Jan & Jul. The ultimate in cozy, waterproof protection from head to toe!
When it comes to the latest kids snow boots, the Puffy Winter Boots from Jan & Jul are the talk of the town! We love them and think you will too ????
