We ship from Surrey (Metro Vancouver) in British Columbia, Canada. We ship out within two days when an order is received. For regular delivery, here is the estimated delivery schedule to major areas (please note: this is not guaranteed by Canada Post).

We will accept returns or exchanges within 90 days of purchase date for any items in their original condition and in original packaging. Items which are damaged or defective may be returned at any time within the warranty period. Final sale items such as Deals page items cannot be returned or exchanged.

JAN & JUL stands by all its products with a 1-year guarantee. Contact us if the received product does not meet our high-quality standards. Please keep in mind that we don’t cover issues caused by excessive wear and tear or washing.


Shoe Fit Guide

The unique design of each shoe's outsole changes the way they fit and how big they look.
  • Knit Shoes: have a thick and wide outsole compared to Water Shoes. You may find they look longer.
  • Jelly Jumpers: have a wider outsole compared to Knit Shoes. You may find they look slightly smaller.
  • Water Shoes: have a soft and thin outsole compared to Knit Shoes. You may find they look smaller.

We don’t use any harmful chemicals or dyes.

Our Puddle-Dry line is fully waterproof with a thin liner or with no lining for some products.

Our Cozy-Dry line is fully waterproof with a fleece lining.

Our Toasty-Dry line has waterproof and/or water resistant fabric depending on the product, an insulation layer and a warm fleece lining.

Rain Gear

Yes. Our rain gear has a factory tested waterproof rating of 10,000 mm. There are three key factors working together to provide 100% waterproofness:

1 – The top (outside facing) layer of fabric has a durable water repellent (DWR) finish applied to it to help water bead on the fabric surface. When water beads on the surface, this helps to prevent water from saturating that top layer of fabric. We use a fluorine free BIONIC-FINISH® ECO technology DWR from Germany.

2 – Breathable waterproof inner membrane. This is the magic that allows body perspiration to escape while preventing water from coming through to the inside of your garment. This membrane is applied to the inside of the top layer. If your rain gear has a liner (thin or fleece) – you won’t actually see this layer.

3 – Taped Seams. Adhesive seam sealing tape is applied to all seams to prevent water from entering your raingear at these potentially vulnerable stitching lines.

Over time and multiple washes the outer DWR will wear off and you may notice your garment “wetting out” – meaning water is able to penetrate that top layer (not beading anymore) making your rain gear look “wet”. When water rests on that membrane surface it prevents inside water vapor from escaping. It may feel like water is soaking into the garment, but it is actually just trapped moisture building up on the inside of your jacket/pants/suits/etc.

If this happens, we recommend reapplying a DWR to extend the life of your waterproof garments. You can purchase a DWR wash or spray and just follow the product instructions for best results. We recommend using the spray for items that have a liner – such as our fleece lined jackets, pants and suits.

Yes, lukewarm water on gentle cycle.

It’s best to hang to dry.

We recommend trying BUNCHA FARMERS All Natural Stain Remover Sticks or a paste made of Dawn dish soap, Tide, and Oxyclean.

No. You can use any kind of gentle detergent. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach.

Sun Hats

Yes, all of our sun hats are 50+ UPF rated. The rating is due to weave of the fabric. No harmful chemicals are used.

Yes, no harmful chemicals or dyes used. The UPF protection comes from the densely woven fabrics.

Our aqua dry fabric is treated with a fluorine & PVC free Eco Bionic Finish treatment. Read more on our blog post here.

Yes, DWR coating is applied to our Aqua-Dry sun hats to make them quick dry/water resistant. Read more on our blog post here.

Cleaning your Sun Hat:
Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, do not bleach. Rinse. Gently remove excess water, but never twist it or wring it out. Reshape the sun hat on a dry towel. Allow it to air dry away from any heat sources or direct sunlight. Do not machine wash or dry.

The brim material within is a low density foam, EVA material. It is lightweight, will float, and withstand washing.

Our lite winter boots are machine washable. We recommend hosing off other styles.

Our rain boots are made with natural rubber and have a cotton lining. Each pair comes with bonus micro-fleece insoles for colder weather.

Toasty-Dry Lite Winter Boots are made with DWR coated neoprene over durable rubber. Toasty-Dry Booties and Puffy Winter Boots are made with water resistant fabric with a layer of insulation underneath.

Toasty-Dry Booties, Toasty-Dry Lite Winter Boots, and Toasty-Dry Puffy Winter Boots are all insulated.

Puddle-Dry Rain Boots and Toasty-Dry Lite Winter Boots are waterproof.


Both knit shoes and play shoes offer flexible soles which makes them ideal for early walkers.

Play shoes are wider than knit shoes and neoprene gives more flexibility for chubby feet.

Knit shoes are made with breathable polyester knit. Play shoes are made with neoprene.

Knit shoe soles are TPR. Play shoe soles are natural rubber.

Yes. Both TPR (knit shoes) and rubber soles (play shoes) provide excellent grip.

All knit shoes are machine washable. Remove insoles and throw in the washer separately.

It is totally free to be a Rain or Shine Rewards member, and it will always be free.
By creating an account, you instantly become eligible to earn points.

You collect points for every purchase, which can be used to discount future purchases. Points are accumulated by referring friends, following us on social media, and even receiving bonus points on your birthday! Silver and Gold members unlock more benefits. You can view the full list of perks on the rewards page. 

If you have an account, you are automatically part of our Rain or Shine Rewards program and will receive 100 points automatically!
You can access all your info by logging in and visiting our rewards page.
You will only receive points after enrolling in the rewards program. If you already have a Jan & Jul account, you are automatically enrolled and can start earning points right away.
No, you cannot earn points in different accounts. Points are only earned within a single account.

Earning & Redeeming

Unfortunately, reward points cannot be used in conjunction with other coupons. You cannot apply more than 1 coupon code per order.
You have two options. First, log in to your account and use the dropdown menu during checkout to apply your points. Alternatively, you can access the Rewards Page after logging in, scroll down to "Redeem My Points," select the desired amount to trade in, then copy the code and paste it at checkout.
Don’t worry! Every time you redeem your points, we’ll send an email with your coupon code. Also, you can find your coupon code in your Rewards History. It expires after 3 months.

Yes! Taxes and shipping don’t count towards earning points.

Nope! Redeeming points will only cover the cost of the products.
There is no limit to the number of points you can collect. Yay!
Coupons are single use. You can’t apply it on multiple orders. Once you use your coupon, any remaining value is lost.

You can redeem as much as 1000 pts per order.

You will be refunded what you spent on your credit or debit card, and your points will be manually readjusted by our team within 2-5 business days. If your points were not readjusted, contact our team at [email protected].

You will receive points for the amount spent with a credit/debit card. You will not receive points for the amount paid with points.

Nope! They never expire.
Yes, it expires after 3 months.
No! Our “Give $15, Get $15” initiative only works for referrals outside your household.

Make sure you entered your birthday on the rewards page. If you have, and birthday falls in the next 30 days, you will receive your points 30 days after you entered your birthday.

VIP Tiers

Yes, you need to have spent the minimum amount in the last 12 months to keep your VIP tier status. If not, you will be demoted to the tier status according to your spending value. Points redeemed do not contribute to your annual spending value.

If you return a purchase that helped you reach a higher VIP tier, you will be demoted to your original VIP tier.

If you put in an order that promotes you to a higher tier, you will only receive the benefits of your new tier in your next purchase.

Your current rewards status is determined by your purchase history in the last 12 months. Keep shopping to maintain your tier! 

Log into the Rewards page and scroll down to your progress bar. It’ll show your current tier, and your progress to the next tier.
